Before joining Calcagni & Kanefsky, Linda served in the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office for nearly eight years. As an Assistant Prosecutor, Linda most recently worked with the Trial Team, where she was responsible for investigating and prosecuting homicides, internal affairs, and special investigations, as well as other high-level crimes. Linda also served with the Special Victim’s Unit, where she managed a caseload of over 100 cases, including criminal sexual assault, child abuse, and all manner of criminal matters involving domestic violence. Linda began her prosecutorial career in the Appellate Unit, where she briefed and argued criminal appeals before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
Linda began her legal career as the judicial clerk for Judge N. Peter Conforti of the Superior Court of New Jersey (Ret.), Criminal Division, Sussex County.
Linda is the Founder and Vice President of “CORE” – the Claude-Oben Relief Effort. Linda founded CORE to provide desperately-needed relief to suffering communities in Haiti, including food, clothing, and medical care. CORE’s mission has expanded to serving underprivileged youth and families in Florida, California, and Cameroon.
Linda also serves on the Board of Directors of Off The Field – NFL Wives Association, and on the Family Advisory Board of the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University.
She is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Haitian American Lawyers Association of New Jersey and maintains membership in the New Jersey and Hudson County Bar Associations. Linda is also a former trustee of the Association of Assistant Prosecutors of New Jersey.
Linda was selected and served as the Keynote Speaker for the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration’s Multi-Cultural Program in Newark, New Jersey, and she is the recipient of the Humanitarian Award from the Haitian-American Nurses Association of Rockland County, New York.
