NEWARK, NJ: Calcagni & Kanefsky, a boutique Newark-NYC litigation and investigations firm of former Federal and State prosecutors, continues its expansion, welcoming Philip Morrow and Stephanie D. Ashley.

“Stephanie and Phil are strong additions to our team of white collar litigators, bringing with them exceptional government experience in both NJ and NY,” CK Senior Partner Thomas R. Calcagni stated. “We are thrilled to welcome them aboard.”

Phil Morrow joins CK after nine years with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Appeals Division, where he briefed and argued a wide range of criminal cases, including fraud, large-scale thefts, and long-term complex investigations. Phil began his career at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, where he clerked for two years.

“With nearly a decade of appeals experience at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office, and having clerked for the highest court in the District of Columbia, Phil has both the white collar and appellate background to bolster both practice areas at CK,” CK Senior Partner Eric T. Kanefsky stated. “The depth of his government experience is exactly what distinguishes our team from others.”

“CK is widely recognized as one of the leading boutique firms for investigations and white collar litigation,” noted Phil. “I’m elated to be part of this dynamic team of top former prosecutors.”

Stephanie Ashley re-joins CK after completing a New Jersey Supreme Court judicial clerkship with Justice Walter F. Timpone. She began her legal career as a Summer Associate and Law Clerk with the firm.

“I am so pleased to be back with CK, practicing with some of the most seasoned and talented white collar litigators around,” remarked Stephanie.
