Before joining Calcagni & Kanefsky, Gianna served as an associate attorney at a New Jersey litigation boutique, focusing on criminal defense and complex business litigation.

Gianna has represented individuals and corporations with a wide range of issues, including state and federal white collar criminal matters, government investigations and internal investigations.

Gianna is a volunteer attorney mentor at New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project (NJLEEP) and serves as a volunteer attorney for the District of New Jersey’s Reentry (ReNew) Court.  She is an active member of the NJ State Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of NJ, and the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA).

While in law school, Gianna worked as a student attorney for Seton Hall’s Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic, where she prepared asylum cases for trial and secured clients’ renewals on their visas.
